With the Anniversary Update, Microsoft brought a lot of new features to the Windows 10 operating system. One of the major feature was the support for extensions on the Microsoft Edge browser. At the moment there are a few extensions available in the store for download, which have grown in number since the initial launch.

Like the LastPass extension, which is already available, 1Password is also getting ready to release an extension for Edge browser to make password management simpler and secure.

The extension will initially be available for Windows Insiders to test and launch feedback before being made available to general public.

Here is the announcement that was made on twitter earlier this week.

Keep in mind, Microsoft doesn’t allow independent developers to submit Edge extensions on the Windows Store but that is likely to change as we get more and more closer to the Creators Update coming early 2017.
