Recent report from Suppliers of Microsoft claim that Surface Pro 5 will be launched in the first quarter of 2017. The report also reveals that Surface Pro 5 will boast of a UHD display and magnetic charging stylus. There are chances of USB-C to be present too, a first for Surface Pro range.

As per recent rumors, Surface Pro 5 can be launched in the first quarter of 2017. Surface Pro 5 will come running Windows 10 Redstone 2 out of the box and we told you it is happening only in Spring (March-April) 2017.

Coming to what specs and chipset we can look forward to, it is logical to expect Intel Skylake’s successor (Powering Surface Pro 4), “Kaby Lake to be the one powering Surface Pro 5. This Kaby Lake processor is supposed to be out by late 2016 and as we mentioned above this is another reason to believe Surface Pro 5 will be out only in early 2017. Apart from the processor not much has been rumored about the device but we can expect display to be similar in size to Surface Pro 4 albeit with better resolution. We can bet on USB-C availability and Surface Pen may also come with some exciting features like color-sensing tip & display. Surface Pen may be rechargeable too.

Surface Pro 5 may be priced similar to Surface Pro 4 that starts at $899 for the lowest-configuration model going all the way up to $1799 for highest configuration model.
