Microsoft is extending the availability of Azure Automation service to UK and West Central US regions. Announced yesterday, these new regions will give you choices for locating Automation accounts in geographic locations that you think work best for you.
In case you are not aware, Azure Automation helps you to create, monitor, deploy, and maintain resources in your Azure, on-premises, and third-party cloud environments. It also uses highly scalable and reliable process execution and desired state configuration engines.
Microsoft Azure Automation provides a way for users to automate the manual, long-running, error-prone, and frequently repeated tasks that are commonly performed in a cloud and enterprise environment. It saves time and increases the reliability of regular administrative tasks and even schedules them to be automatically performed at regular intervals. You can automate processes using runbooks or automate configuration management using Desired State Configuration.
