HTC W8 aka One for Windows passes Global certification with European LTE bands

HTC W8 aka One for Windows had been found in WiFi certification as HTC6995LVW. Adduplex database entry for HTC6995LVW confirmed it having 5-inch, 1080p display screen and was only seen at Verizon.

Till now it is widely understood that it will come a Verizon exclusive device. But, today it has passed Global GSM certification with European LTE bands and while that doesn’t confirm that the same version will come globally, it certainly raises hope. It also has AT&T compatible LTE band, so may be it later can come to AT&T too.

HTC has sent press invites for a 19th August event in US and it seems we will see HTC W8 getting unveiled.
