It is not surprising that Mixed Reality is the future and Microsoft (and its partners) are heavily engaged and investing a lot of time and money to step up the game and offer some incredible experiences by introducing affordable Mixed Reality headsets that open the window to a whole new dimension around you.

Microsoft has already joined hands with some of the biggest PC manufacturers like Acer, HP, Lenovo and this has been to some extent quite appealing as we see each of them showcase affordable, easy to set up Windows Mixed Reality headsets, coming this holiday.

At IFA 2017, ASUS, a well-reputed PC brand, has also unveiled its own Windows Mixed Reality headset.

The ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset (HC102) unlocks exciting new virtual worlds. Featuring a unique and beautiful 3D-pattern aesthetic, the headset sports a comfy design with premium antibacterial cushioned materials.

The ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset is super easy to set up and takes only 10 minutes or less to get going since it doesn’t require any external sensors and no additional software to download. This gives you the freedom to move around your desk, chair or even your room, thus enjoy amazing virtual experiences wherever your laptop goes.

The ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset features a unique futuristic design.

ASUS designers used technology normally used to create a digital architecture to produce a pattern of hundreds of 3D polygons, resulting in a unique, modern and revolutionary new style. The headset is finished in a glossy tone-on-tone effect that keeps you stylish even in the virtual world!

Due to its friendly and convenient design, it lets users effortlessly switch between the virtual and real world in seconds. Simply lift the visor for a temporary reality check, and flip it back down to instantly immerse yourself in the virtual world again.

The ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset takes only 10 minutes to set up due to its plug and play behavior. At the front, you will find two built-in front-facing tracking cameras with six-degrees-of-freedom (6DoF) position tracking, and 32 LED lights on each controller to map your environment, and track your movements and controllers.

The headset contains multiple sensors — gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer — that determine your orientation.

When we talk about the Mixed Reality, we quickly imagine the world that is vivid and truly immersive. The ASUS Windows Mixed Reality Headset delivers incredible 3K resolution (2880 x 1440) for crystal-clear visuals and up to a 90Hz refresh rate.
