Microsoft has rolled out a fresh new update for users in the Fast Ring of Insider Program of Office apps on Windows Desktop. The latest build version is 1708 (Build 8424.1000) or later in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Windows Desktop.
In terms of changes, the latest update brings early access to Ink Effects for Office 365 Subscribers who are also in Insiders Fast.

Requirements
- Windows 10 RS1 RTM (“Windows 10 Anniversary Update”) (Build 14393) or above
- A pen-enabled device is best though this will also work with mouse or touch
- An internet connection to download the effects
