mk_umk_productdetailsMicrosoft has made two interesting announcements today!! One is related to a new hardware and another related to a software.

Microsoft has today announced a universal Mobile keyboard for iOS, Windows and Android. It will not only support Tablets but also the iOS and Android phones. Windows Phone is not supported yet as it lacks Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) keyboard support. It is already listed as coming soon at MS store and should be available in October.

With the Universal Mobile Keyboard, getting stuff done while you’re on the go has never been easier. Power through emails, put together a proposal, or instant message with a friend. It doesn’t matter if you’re on your tablet or your smartphone—the Universal Mobile Keyboard was designed to work with iPad, iPhone, Android devices and Windows tablets1. Pair with up to 3 devices with different operating systems and easily switch between them.

The compact and light weight design of the Universal Mobile Keyboard was built with portability in mind with its protective cover and built-in stand that holds your tablet or smartphone2. Just flip the cover open to power-up and make a Bluetooth connection, then set your device into the integrated stand—you’ll be typing in seconds. Shutting down is just as fast. Simply close the cover to turn off the keyboard—it’s that easy. The rechargeable battery provides up to 6 months of usage on a single charge. But if you’re ever low on power when you’re heading out, don’t worry—just do a 10 minute quick charge and you’ll have plenty of power for a full day’s work.

So leave the laptop behind—the Universal Mobile Keyboard lets you get real work done with just your tablet or smartphone.

1 Works with tablets and smartphones that have Bluetooth HID (Human Interface Device) keyboard support.

2 Integrated stand fits devices 10mm or thinner
