As we know the main reason behind the market share loss for Microsoft Mobile products is that they don’t have many devices to provide services to people. Microsoft also realized this bitter truth. So they entered into alliance with many companies to make devices. Few examples are Xiaomi and Acer.

Acer recently launched their Windows 10 Mobile powered flagship model Acer Jade Primo. So we all thought that the partnership was for only that Acer Jade Primo smartphone. Now Microsoft announced that they are expanding partnership with Acer to make their services available for more people with more devices. As part of this Acer will begin pre-installing Microsoft services and apps on its portfolio of Android smartphones and tablets. Specifically, customers will benefit from the productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Skype on select Android smartphones and tablets from Acer.

ST Liew, president of Acer Smart Products Business Group said :

“We’re excited to partner with Microsoft to provide enhanced mobile productivity to our products, By integrating the Microsoft software suite, Acer customers will enjoy productivity on-the-go along with the familiar computing experience on their smartphones and tablets.”
