Microsoft is preparing Cortana for yet another design overhaul in the upcoming major release of Windows 10 codenamed 19H1. The company has already started to roll-out to Insiders in the Skip Ahead and in the Fast ring. As noticed by WindowsBlogItalia the company so far made some progress which is listed below.

  • Cortana no longer shows dedicated tiles for search, tips are now placed at the center.
  • While you search there is now Acrylic Fluents Design effect on the top bar
  • Currently, in A/B testing, users on hovering the mouse on the left pane, the menu will automatically be displayed

There might some other changes to Cortana coming as we approach the final release of Windows 10 19H1. As always, these new tweaks will always be available to Insiders first and then will eventually roll-out to the public. Windows 10 19H1 will ready by March and might hit the public in April.
