Office for Windows Desktop (Insider Fast) update brings Hex color values & many fixes

Microsoft has posted the release notes for the latest Office for Windows Desktop Insider Fast update Version 2003 (Build 12615.20000). The new build brings a new input field in the Colors dialog for Hex color values. It also brings many fixes.

Pick the perfect color

Based on your feedback, we’ve added a new input field in the Colors dialog for Hex color values! Never again will you spend time converting Hex color values into RGB values.

How to access

  1. Open a file in one of the supported applications.
  2. For any property where you can define a color, click the appropriate button in the ribbon (such as the Font Color button) and click More Colors.
  3. In the Colors dialog box, click the Custom tab.
  4. Enter the Hex color value in the Hex box, for example, #0F4C81 or 444.
