If you are a veteran Windows user you may have missed the original Windows File manager “WinFile” on Windows 10. The original Windows File manager has been made open-source and updated by Microsoft to work with Windows 10. It is even available to download via Microsoft store.
You can read more about the open-source Windows File Manager WinFile project at GitHub. We installed the File manager on our PC running Windows 10 insider Beta Build 19042.782. It feels surprisingly snappy while launching and also while browsing through the files.
It can be used to navigate through all sorts of files and also offers many file management options. Needless to say it has that nostalgic touch too if you are a Windows fan. Give it a try.
