Details have emerged about the probable price, specifications and release date of Surface Book 3 and Surface Go 2. Microsoft may launch Surface Book 3 and Go 2 at Microsoft’s Spring Hardware Event, though a fixed date hasn’t been provided for this event.

As claimed in a report by Petri, Microsoft’s Spring Hardware Event may be held in NY. The report also claims that Surface Book 3 and Go 2 won’t see any major design overhaul.

Coming to Surface Book 3, the report suggests that Microsoft may use 10th generation Intel Ice Lake processors and 16** series Nvidia GTX GPUs. The top-end Surface Book expected to be only available with a 15-inch display option, may include an option for Quadro series graphics cards, that are designed for  high-end computing needs of data professionals.

Microsoft may also increase the maximum RAM configuration from 16GB to 32GB and may pair it with a 1TB SSD storage. Surface Book 3 may see updated charging components. It may be priced around $1400 for the 13.5-inch entry-level variant.

We reccently reported about a possible Surface Book 3 prototype appearing with Tiger Lake processor in benchmarks. So, unless this report has got it all correct we can still hope for a beefier and next-gen processor in Surface Book 3.

Surface Go 2 may still see low-end Intel chips just like its predecessor. It may have a Pentium Gold version with a Core M processor option as well. Report discards rumors that the company would use a 7c chipset from Qualcomm. It may be priced at $399 for the entry-level variant.

Surface Go 2  LTE and non-LTE prototypes may have appeared in benchmarks recently with Intel m3-8100Y processor. This proto has 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
