There is no easy way to create a playlist on Windows Phone and this is really something many of us complaint about Windows Phone music listening experience. If you are in United states and have a Xbox music pass then you can create playlist on fly from the songs on your phone. This tutorial helps you in creating playlists,

without Xbox music pass and

In any market other than United states.

What you need to do is to first install Xbox music on your windows phone and you can follow our tutorial for this. Now, once you have installed Xbox music on your phone, open the app. You need to sign in with our Microsoft account. Once you have signed in it takes you to a screen where it asks for ‘signup or cancel’ for Xbox music pass as shown in the first screenshot below. You don’t have to select either of these options and rather press back button. This will take you to the app and you will have option of creating playlist. Press on this option and you can now create new playlists and choose songs available on your phone.

As seen below, I was able to create a playlist “Fav” with my chosen songs. You can now pin this playlist on your homescreen as well.

Just remember, this is the only way to create a playlist with ease on your Windows Phone as of now. Whenever you will access the playlists, it asks for ‘signup or cancel’  for Xbox music pass, as shown in the first screenshot below. You don’t have to select either of these options and rather press back button.
