Microsoft with Windows 10 October 2018 Update made some amendments to the snipping experience. With its upcoming major version of Windows 10, it continued the trend by introducing some new capabilities to Snip & Sketch app a few Builds ago.
The company along with other minor tweaks with introduced Window Snipping in Build 18282, allowing you to take a screenshot of an active window. But not every insider was able to test it as Microsoft rolled out only to 50 percent of the Insiders.

To start a new snip, you can:
* Press WIN+Shift+S
* Press New in Snip & Sketch
* Press Screen Snip in Action Center
* Press PrtScn (if enabled)

Microsoft today announces that it has already rolled out the feature to every Fast ring Insiders running Build 18282 or above. So, if you are an Insider on the Fast ring and did not get the Window Snip at the first wave you better launch the snipping app by pressing Win key+Shift+S. There you will see a new entry named Window Snip.
