AdDuplex report for July 2018 suggests that Microsoft’s last major software update to Windows 10 named as Windows 10 April Update is installed on more than 84 percent computers. If you talk about the exact figure, it claims 84.2 percent of computers under its ambit.

Windows 10 April update was declared as the clear winner in the last month over Windows 10 Fall Creators update, which currently operates more 10.3% of the computers. Comparing the number with the last month, April Update gained more than six percent market share which took everyone to surprise as growth was expected to slow down after surpassing Fall Creators Update installation base.

It is no surprise that April Update will gradually slow down from here and eventually get dethroned from number one spot by Microsoft’s upcoming major update codenamed Redstone 5 which is set to arrive sometime in September.

Followed by April Update and Fall Creators Update, Windows 10 Creators Update and Windows Anniversary update stands at the third and fourth year with 2.1 percent and 2.2 percent respectively.

These data are generated by those apps installed on computers worldwide which means that stats like these should be taken as a grain of salt. It, however, helps us to get some approximation done.
