Windows 10 April update is now installed on 50% of all Windows 10 PCs: AdDuplex

According to AdDuplex, Windows 10 April update is now installed on 50% of all Windows 10 PCs in course of one month. Its predecessor Windows 10 Fall Creators Update currently stands at 43% which clearly shows that April Update has got more market share than all the other versions of Windows 10. The data is astounding because the April Update is just one month old!

While April Update and Fall Creators Update came in the 1st and the 2nd position respectively it is Creators Update who manages the third position with an overall market share of 2.9%. Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Windows 10 1511 is alive with 2.8% and 0.7% respectively.

Microsoft’s own Surface brand has also shown impressive results with more than 70% of Surface Pro 3 devices running Windows 10 April update. Amongst Windows OEM, MSI, Dell and Microsoft have a clear lead over Acer and Toshiba in terms of April Update penetration.

Microsoft always wanted to make PC experience more of a mobile like when it comes to manageability, that was the mantra for Windows 10 – it is the last Windows and it is always updated. It looks like the company is almost there! Microsoft is gradually making progress in bringing more and more people under its latest version of Windows 10. In a nutshell, people are becoming more aware of updating PCs than ever. This is indeed a great news for the Redmond Giant.
