Windows 10 Users are now complaining about black screen issues. Users are reporting that their screens are turning black when they are using the Remote Desktop feature.

From what we have seen so far, it seems that the bug is exclusive to the latest update of Windows 10—Windows 10 May 2019 Update, a.k.a. Windows 10 1903.

“I upgraded my secondary machine from 1809 to 1903. When I access it now using Remote Desktop all I get is a black screen in the RDP windows. I then upgraded my primary machine to 1903 hoping that would help, but no,” a Windows 10 user posted on Microsoft forum.

There aren’t any fix available right now. However, it’s likely that Microsoft will soon release a fix for the bug.

Meanwhile, users are suggested to

  • Update the Display driver from the PC or Display adapter maker’s Support Downloads web page for your exact model number
  • Adjust the Screen Resolution at Settings > System > Display until it looks best
