Windows 11 may finally get a native screen recorder of its own. Microsoft revealed in October that a new version of Snipping Tool is coming to Windows 11 that will have screen recording feature.

Now, a Reddit user has posted a screenshot (as shown in featured image above) from Feedback Hub. The screenshot has mentioned the Snipping Tool version 11.2211.11.0 with the screen recording feature. This is how Microsoft describes the steps to use screen recording feature of Snipping Tool in Windows 11.

Snipping Tool now allows you to record a video of your screen.

Prerequisites:

Windows 11, and Snipping Tool 11.2211.11.0 or later.

Steps:
1. Start menu > All apps > Snipping Tool.

2. Select the Record button to switch from Snip mode to Record mode.

3. Select the + New button.

4. Select a portion of the screen by clicking and holding, and by dragging the cursor across the screen.

5. Once the desired area of the screen is covered, release the mouse button.

6. If you would like, you can resize the selected area.

7. Once you are satisfied with your selected area, in the overlay menu, select the Start button.

8. Once the countdown ends, the recording of the selected area begins.

9. To finish the recording, select the red stop button in the overlay menu.

The recording will open in the Snipping Tool playback menu. From here, you can watch the recording and save the recording, or start a new recording or a snip.
