Earlier today we reported about Lenovo unveiling a premium laptop with a secondary display on the outside for reading.
Now the company has also introduced the world’s first foldable PC. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold is the company’s and world’s first foldable PC. To date, we have seen only mobile phones coming in foldable format but CES 2020 marks the entry of foldable displays into the PC segments.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with a 13.3-inch full HD 4:3 flexible OLED display. The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold 8s built from a combination of lightweight alloys and carbon fiber and covered in a luxurious leather folio cover, the X1 Fold will offer the durability and reliability users expect from any ThinkPad.
The Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold Always Connected PC is powered by Intel’s Core series processors with Intel Hybrid technology. Initially, the ThinkPad X1 Fold will be available with Windows 10 OS but the company is planning to bring Windows 10x in the future when it is official for a better tablet/foldable like experience.
In the connectivity department, the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold comes with an optional 5G connectivity variant. It’s a lightweight machine with a weight of just 1Kg. Connect a full-size keyboard and mouse and a second display via USB Type-C and quickly place the device in the optional ThinkPad X1 Fold Stand in portrait or landscape mode.
