Microsoft recently confirmed a surprise Windows 11 February update with changes and new features. The update has now been made available to insiders in Beta and Release Preview Channels for testing before public release. So, here is our hands-on with the new features/changes that the February update brings.

Windows 11 will show the weather content to the left side of the taskbar if the taskbar is aligned in the center after installing the February update. Hovering over the weather content will reveal the Widgets panel and hide once you stop hovering. Check the screenshot below to see the weather content on the Taskbar.

We added weather content to the left side of the taskbar if the taskbar is aligned in the center. When you hover over the weather, the Widgets panel will appear on the left side of the screen and will disappear when you stop hovering over the area.

Microsoft has added two abilities related to Microsoft Teams call. One of the ability is also linked to Taskbar as one can now instantly mute/unmute ongoing Teams call using the “active microphone icon” on Taskbar. The update also brings ability to quickly share open application windows to Microsoft Teams call. Check the screenshots below.

We added the ability to instantly mute and unmute a Microsoft Teams call from your taskbar. During a call, an active microphone icon will appear on the taskbar so that you can easily mute the audio without having to return to the Microsoft Teams call window.

We added the ability to quickly share open application windows directly from your taskbar to a Microsoft Teams call.
