Images of prototype of a canceled Windows 10 Mobile smartphone HP Pro X3 has been posted on Twitter by well-known Microsoft/Nokia enthusiast Hikari Calyx. He has revealed that HP Pro X3 aka HRP was supposed to come with a metal back and was to be manufactured by FIH just like HP Elite X3.

The FIH Codename of HP Pro x3 (the cancelled one with metal rear) is HRP.

If this doesn’t ring any bells, let me take you back to one of our old articles about leak of a HP Elite X3 successor from MWC 2017. If you compare the leaked images from that article to the prototype ones posted by Hikari today you will notice that both belog to one and same smartphone.
HP Pro X3 proto has slimmer design, narrower bezels, different FFC position just like the device as shown in the images below. Even the camera module is same on both HP Pro X3 proto and the leaked images below.
