As reported earlier, Microsoft has ended support for the original Windows 10 aka Version. Windows 10 PCs still running Windows 10 versions 1507 won’t receive any security and quality updates after May 9, 2017. Microsoft officially recommends updating PCs stuck on Version 1507 to the latest version of Windows 10 (Creators Update).

Three major Windows 10 feature updates Version 1511, Version 1607 and Version 1703 have been already released after original version 1507. Windows 10 PC users need to keep their machines updated to latest feature update for staying supported.

Microsoft by policy offers a 60-day grace period to install the latest feature update upon release to continue to be eligible for monthly servicing with security updates and other quality updates. Microsoft even extended this grace period for version 1507 by 2 months back in April. But now, seems enough is enough and Microsoft has decided to kill version 1507 off.

However, Security updates will continue to be made available for both Windows 10 Enterprise 2015 LTSB and Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2015 LTSB. This end of support is applicable for only consumer PCs.

You can manually download Windows 10 software updates by going to official download page. This can be done by visiting the Software Download site and selecting Update now to manually update your device. If you are a fan of clean install you can get ISO for latest creators update by clicking here.
