And the saga continues..Microsoft’s latest cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1803 is now causing several issues including the notorious Blue Screen of Death on the Surface Book 2. The update much like other cumulative updates, however, was meant to improve performance but now it is the opposite for the Surface Book 2 owners.
As reported by ZDNet, the new update besides the Blue Screen of Death also targeted the Windows Hello login, discouraging the Windows Hello camera to perform its job. Users also received errors like ‘SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED’.
But the new cumulative update dubbed as KB4467682 is even worse than what you think it is. The update did brick Surface Book 2 whoever tried to uninstall the new update.
“I was getting BSOD on my SB2 and narrowed it down to KB4467682. You would think it would be one of the first platforms they test the updates on because of the reputational risk of bricking their flagship hardware with their flagship software. Very disappointing.” – A Reddit user.
