At MWC 2017, Lenovo announced the new Yoga 720 and Yoga 520 ultra-portable, feature rich convertibles.
The new Yoga 720 and Yoga 520 are versatile and ideal for multitaskers in the sense, you can quickly and easily switch between your work space in laptop mode to watching a video in tent mode.
Also, the company has made the new 13-inch Yoga 720 13% lighter and 17% thinner than before at 14.3mm and 1.3kg, while its younger sibling Yoga 520 is also thinner and lighter than before at just 19.9mm and 1.74kg. But even with the lessen weight, these devices don’t trade off portability with long battery life.
The 15-inch Yoga 720 offers upto 9 hours of battery life in FHD and the Yoga 520 with up to a long-lasting 10-hour battery life in FHD.
New Yoga convertibles are a top-notch real deal when it comes to internals, as well. These devices are built for speed and power. Under the hood of both the Yoga 720 and Yoga 520, resides the latest 7th Gen Intel® Core™ i7 processors and Windows 10. If you want more performance, the 15-inch Yoga 720 is the most powerful convertible laptop in its class, with NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 discrete graphics and blazing-fast Thunderbolt™ 3 for the world’s fastest data transfers.
If you prefer drawing or doodling on the screen, the new Yoga 720 and Yoga 520 both offer optional active pen support for editing, note-taking and sketching with Windows Ink™ on an ultra-responsive touch screen.
There is a 4K IPS display (3840 x 2160) on the Yoga 720 with ultra-narrow bezels. Better yet, the Yoga 720 has JBL® speakers with Dolby Audio™ Premium to match for a moving audio experience.
Lenovo also added support for Windows Hello with an advanced integrated fingerprint reader on the Yoga 720, as well as making it an option on the Yoga 520, allowing you securely log onto your new Yoga convertibles.
Pricing and Availability
In EMEA, the 13-inch Yoga 720 starts at €999 and the 15-inch starts at €1,099 available beginning in April 2017. Yoga 720 color options are Platinum Silver, Iron Grey and Copper (on the 13-inch model only).
The Yoga 520 (14-inch) starts at €599 available beginning in July 2017. Yoga 520 color options are Mineral Grey and Onyx Black.
