On a Windows 10 PC, you can now download free desktop themes from the Windows Store. This was a top requested piece of feedback by the Windows user community and Microsoft re-introduced the functionality with the lately released Windows 10 Creators Update for PCs (Build 15063.o and above).
These desktop themes give users a choice to choose from hundreds of wallpapers, sound options, and custom accent colors. Some theme categories include plants and flowers, landscapes, animals, natural wonders, cityscapes. The photography, art, and illustrations you see come from creators across the globe.
Let’s see where to find them on your Windows 10 PC and how to apply.
- Open Settings
- Select Personalization
- Click on Themes, and then the Get more themes in the store link – or, click here to go right to the Windows Store.
- Click to choose a theme and then downloaded/install it.
Download as many themes as you’d like.
Once downloaded/installed, you can set/apply your new theme from the Windows Store or Go to Settings >> Personalization >> Themes and then click on a theme to apply.
