After making a fix for Unbootable state for AMD devices in Windows 8.1 available earlier, Microsoft has now made a fix available for AMD devices in Windows 7 and Server 2008 that are stuck in an unbootable state after installing recent Spectre and Meltdown fixes. These two updates, the first released on January 3, 2018—KB4056897 (Security-only update) or the second released on  January 4, 2018—KB4056894 (Monthly Rollup) made AMD devices to fall into an unbootable state.

Now the fix is available as the standalone update KB4073578 and can be downloaded from the Microsoft update catalogue. You can download and install the update by following the link below.
