Microsoft has released the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 4 update with recently announced new features. The Build 22621.2361 (KB5030310) brings these Moment 4 features including modernized Windows File explorer and Copilot in Windows to the Release Preview channel. This update is available for insiders with eligible PCs running Windows 11 version 22H2.
Microsoft has also described how to get the new features brought by the Windows 11 22H2 Moment 4 update. Windows 11 PC owners need to turn on the “get the latest updates as they are available” toggle on for receiving Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509) along with Build 22621.2361 (KB5030310). This configuration update KB5030509 enables new features on the PC.
If you have the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available turned ON via Settings > Windows Update BEFORE installing Build 22621.2361, you will also get Windows Configuration Update (KB5030509) installed at the same time you install Build 22621.2361 in a single reboot. Note only the update for Build 22621.2361 will show during install on the Windows Update settings page. But after reboot, the Windows Configuration Update will be shown in your Update History. This Windows Configuration Update is how we’re enabling new features via Controlled Feature Rollout (CFR) technology.
