Microsoft has announced the general availability of custom background effects in Microsoft Teams.
With custom backgrounds, Microsoft Teams users can now upload and apply their own favourite pictures as the meeting background, or choose from one of the collections of backgrounds available online.
This feature works in tandem with background blur functionality, introduced last year.
With custom backgrounds, Microsoft has put privacy front and center.
Teams uses a highly trained model that differentiates the subject from their background and can impose a custom background over everything else, making it easy and fast to start expressing yourself in all your meetings.
