Microsoft Teams

Microsoft today announces as much as ten new education focussed features in Microsoft Teams. As a part of back to School 2018, the company targets students as well as teachers.

Rubric grading

Rubric grading helps increase assignment transparency for students and allows Educators to give more meaningful feedback. Educators can customize their grading criteria with their own rubric to enable skills-based grading of their assignments.

Mobile Assignment experience

Microsoft Teams being available both on iOS and Android, educators can now create assignments right from their phones. On the other hand, students can also take advantage of the feature by accessing those assignments directly from their phone.

Flipgrid App

Microsoft acquired Flipgrid a few months back. Flipgrid app is completely free for both educators and students, and now on Microsoft Teams, all you need is to add the app.

Reuse Assignments

Educators now don’t have to create all new assignments for each new year. With Reuse Assignments feature, you can now use them again and again.

Dark Mode

Working late night on a computer is not good for your eyes and brain. Keeping that in mind Microsoft finally brings Dark Mode to the Microsoft Teams. Microsoft also claims that the all-new Dark Mode would help students better focus on their school work.

There are more features on the list, and you can check the complete list of new features on the official Microsoft Education Blog.
