Microsoft has released a new optional update KB5000842 for Windows 10 Versions 20H2 and 2004. The update KB5000842 with Build 19042.906/19041.906 adds some new features and brings improvements for many important Windows components.

The new feature additions by KB5000842 update are,

  • Informs users when a child account in the Family Safety plan has administrative privileges. 
  • A new time zone, UTC+2:00 Juba, for the Republic of South Sudan
  • Enables Windows to retrieve updated printer capabilities fixes address security issues in Windows Shell
  • Updates support for hole punch and stapling locations for print jobs with long edge first paper feed direction on certain printers.
  • Allows administrators to use a Group Policy to enable extended keyboard shortcuts, including Ctrl+S, for users in Microsoft Edge IE Mode.
