Microsoft Surface Earbuds and Surface Headphones 2 with improved battery and new features are now official

Earlier today Microsoft announced two new Surface products the Surface Go 2 and the Surface Book 3 via a online blogpost.

Now the company has introduced two kore products but these come in a different product category. The new products we are talking about are placed in the audio category. The newly announced products from Microsoft are the Surface Earbuds and the Surface Headphones 2.

Surface Earbuds:

Surface Earbuds were initially introduced in October during the Surface event but were not made available yet. The Surface Earbuds were not acclaimed because of high price and awkward design. But now with the official pricing and introduction of Surface Earbuds, these could be a very good competitor in the Truly Wireless Earbuds category. The Surface Earbuds TWS from Microsoft come with some highly appreciated features like Qualcomm low latency audio codec and AptX and with that the latency is as low as 60ms.  The Surface Earbuds also come equipped with Microsoft Office 365 and Spotify integration with which you can use dictation in Office, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.

The charging case of Surface Earbuds come with USB Type-C charging and wireless charging as well. The Surface Earbuds have 8 hours of battery life and with the case, you can get two full charges which should be around 24 hours.

Surface Headphones:

The second audio product introduced today by Microsoft is the Surface Headphones 2 which is a successor to the already available Surface Headphones from Microsoft. The first get Microsoft Surface Headphones came in Grey colour but this new one comes in Black color also. Talking about the design and specifications, it is nearly similar to the First version with some enhancements. It comes with dials as part of newer design from the inside. The new Surface Headphones come with support for Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with 13 levels of noise cancellation. Unlike the Surface Earbuds, it doesn’t support AptX or LDAC.

Microsoft claims to have a battery life of  13 – 15 Hours to upto 20 Hours with ANC nad Bluetooth usage. The headphones also come with fast charging which promises to deliver almost an hour of listening time with 5 minutes of charging.

The Microsoft Surface Earbuds is priced at $199  and will be available for purchase starting May 12th.The Microsoft Surface Headphones are priced at $249 and will be available from May 12th.
