Microsoft Teams

Microsoft Teams app on Android has seen an update in the Google Play Store, recently. Teams app is your chat-centered workspace in Office 365, where you can instantly send messages, files etc. to other team members, all from a single place.

As per the changelog, Microsoft is finally adding support for third-party cloud storage providers like Google Drive and Dropbox. This means, as a Teams user you are no longer bound to only use OneDrive solution, but now share content across your favorite storage provider. The feature has already been available on Teams desktop app, for a while and now it is rolling out on Android, too.

This update also introduces the ability to share files in private or one-to-one conversations, or group chats. This has been the top-requested feature, and working on the feedback received from the community, Microsoft is gracious enough to hand it over.

Here’s What’s New in version 1416/1.0.0.2017062601

  • Support for files from other cloud storage providers
  • Share files in private 1:1 and group chats
  • Reply to conversations from your notifications screen
  • Microsoft Teams app is now available in new languages including Norwegian and Thai.
