Microsoft recently announced an increase in the number of participants who can be viewed simultaneously (face to face conversations) on the Teams meeting stage from 4 to 9.
The 3×3 video calling on a single screen is generally available and as per a new report (via crn.com) Microsoft has acknowledged to work on increasing the no of participants to an incredible number of 49 (7×7).
The Microsoft Teams roadmap does include increasing the number of people viewable during a Teams video call to 49.
Microsoft spokesperson said in an email to CRN
In another instance, a Microsoft representative while replying to a user feedback on official Teams forum, further strengthens the possibility.
We realize 3×3 is a start, but not good enough… as mentioned, we are continuing to work to include more videos during a meeting, as well as enabling support for mobile devices. Hence, the “partially done” status.
