In confusing communications about Windows 11 release date for Windows 10 PCs, Microsoft has now revealed that existing Windows 10 PCs will get the update starting 2022. This has been confirmed by the official Windows social media account in reply to an user query.
Windows 11 is due out later in 2021 and will be delivered over several months. The rollout of the upgrade to Windows 10 devices already in use today will begin in 2022 through the first half of that year.

This statement is about the Windows 11 public release and Windows 11 insider releases may be available as early as next week. But, in its official blog post introducing Windows 11, Microsoft claimed “The free upgrade will begin to roll out to eligible Windows 10 PCs this holiday and continuing into 2022”.
