Microsoft has pushed preview builds from different branches to Mobile and PC insiders as part of Redstone 3 aka Fall Creators update Insider testing. Mobile Builds are coming tagged as Feature 2 and didn’t brought a single new feature yet. Microsoft at some point in time may merge the Mobile and PC branches to bring uniformity in build numbers.
But for now situation is quite disappointing for Mobile insiders who daily read a new article about how “Windows Phone is dead”. Microsoft is not helping either with not talking about Mobile at all.
But if a tweet from Brandon, Senior Program Manager at Microsoft has to be taken into account it does seem that some new features may come to Windows 10 Mobile too. Only problem is as per the tweet these features will be targeted at “Enterprise customers”.
The team is working on delivering some features for enterprise customers later this summer.

So, it is bit confusing for now or rather disappointing if we take the tweet literally. We have heard from top Microsoft Execs including CEO Satya about how they will focus on Enterprise customers in future when it comes to mobile. So, it is not a very big surprise but if the features are really meant for Enterprise customers only, Mobile Redstone 3 may be as disappointing an update as Redstone 2.
But if by enterprise features, Microsoft means Continuum enhancements and other features to make Mobile more enterprise-friendly then consumers may get some good productivity features. But it really remains uncertain at this point in time. With Windows 10 on ARM looming large on horizon, it needs to be seen as to what Microsoft does with Windows 10 Mobile.
