We earlier reported about probable Surface Go 2 sightings in Benchmarks with both LTE and non-LTE variants. The processsor that powered these two variant was Intel m3-8100Y processor. Now, a new Surface Go 2 variant powered by a Intel Pentium 4425Y processor has appeared in 3DMark Benchmark entries.
This variant of Surface Go 2 comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. While this listing reveal that Surface Go 2 will have two different variant based on the kind of processor plonked inside, a new storage variant has also appeared with Intel m3-8100Y processor.
This variant has 8GB RAM and 256GB storage as compared to the earlier revealed 128GB storage variant.
The Intel m3-8100Y and Intel Pentium 4425Y processors revealed in the Benchmark entries are an upgrade over the original Surface Go processors but many were hoping to see an ARM version of Surface Go 2. Hopefully Microsoft brings Surface Go 2 with ARM processor inside.
Surface Go was launched in July 2018 and it was widely expected that Microsoft will launch its successor in 2019. Since, Microsoft didn’t launch Surface Go 2 duing the October Surface 2019 event one can expect it to be launched in ealy 2020.
