OpenAI’s next-generation Astra AI model is starting to look less like a traditional chatbot and more like an autonomous digital worker.

New details from a private demonstration for OpenAI customers reportedly show Astra coordinating multiple AI agents, operating desktop software at extremely high speed, creating presentations, reviewing financial information, analyzing messy datasets, and continuing work for days or even weeks.

That would put Astra in a very different category from the ChatGPT experience most users know today.

What OpenAI Showed With Astra
