We last reported about the possibility of the Windows 11 aka Windows 10 Sun Valley update insider builds may belong to range 22XXX and above. Now, report from another trustworthy source reveals that Build 22000 with the new UI refresh may be the Windows 11 Cobalt RTM build, if all goes fine. This build is under testing and may be unveiled and then released to insiders for testing on June 24.
The report also suggests that Insiders in Dev channel have been already testing all the under the hood / important kernel-level stuff. But the hidden UI/UX refresh would be unveiled and subsequently released for insider testing only on June 24.
We posted about some recent official Microsoft document modifications that revealed that one of the 21H2 updates may belong to the “Cobalt” branch. So, probably the Cobalt branch is being primed for Windows 11 insider build releases. The other 21H2 update mentioned in this document looks like another minor update over Windows 10 21H1.
Windows 10 Sun Valley update is expected to be the one to bring major UI changes and improvements to Windows 10. Insider builds for Windows 10 21H2 version have revealed many new features and UI changes that Microsoft has been working on. Another recent leak showed Microsoft adding references to Windows Sun Valley update to official documents.
Microsoft recently announced its “Windows event” on June 24 and in the process also revealed a new logo for the upcoming new Windows. Now, many sources are claiming that Microsoft is going to unveil Windows 11 as the successor to Windows 10 on June 24.
Windows 11, aka the rechristened Windows Sun Valley update may be announced on June 24. Before June 24 unveil, Microsoft has stopped significant insider builds for dev channel perhaps in a bid to keep the hype intact. The latest dev channel insider build is 21309 and Microsoft will most probably release Build 22000 or newer to the dev channel on June 24.
