Skype

Microsoft has released a fresh new update for its Universal Skype app for Windows 10. The latest update is now rolling out to Insiders on Fast Ring and brings a couple of new features or improvements along the way.

First up is the update to the screen-sharing experience. You might be already aware of the Screen-share feature that is built right in to the Skype, and let’s you share the desktop with the other party via video call. Until, now you could only transmit the imagery along with your voice, but with the latest update the person on the other side can hear to actual sounds/music coming out of your machine, along with the voice. This makes it an ideal choice for watching or listening to music videos etc. together with your loved ones.

Secondly, Skype now lets you view the received photos via the in-app photo viewer. This is also new because it no longer opens up the Microsoft Photos app and thus saves you time going back and forth, switching apps. However, in case you need to edit the photo (in Photos app) you just received, it will also let you do that.

And finally, the Send feedback button has been moved over to the Hamburger menu, and as usual opens up the Feedback Hub app to log feedback, once clicked.

Do let’s know of the new features with the Skype app in the comments below.
