Microsoft has released a new set of firmware update for its Surface Pro 4 devices.
The update, which is aimed at Realtek High Definition Audio (SST), is reported to bring increased system stability and Cortana performance.
This update puts the Audio driver to version v220.127.116.1195 and sets Windows 10 to Build 14393.479 on the machine, which is the latest Anniversary update build available to the public.
Because updates are cumulative, when you install the latest update, you’ll also get all the previous updates if your Surface doesn’t have them already. Only updates that apply to Surface will be downloaded and installed.
To install updates manually:
Step 1: Go to Start , and select Settings > Update & security > Windows Update.
Step 2: Select Check for updates. Install any available updates.
Step 3: Select Restart now if prompted.
