[What’s new] Windows 10 Build 16296 available now for Slow Ring

Last week Microsoft released build 16296 for Fast Ring. Now Microsoft has pushed a same Fall Creators update preview build for insiders in Slow Ring. The Build 16296 is now available and can be installed. The build comes at a time when Microsoft is looking forward to intensifying the final round of testing for Fall Creators update. Very soon insiders may be treated with the Fall Creators update RTM build.

Here is the full official changelog for the Build 16296.

Windows 10 Build 16296 Changelog:

  • We fixed an issue where Hyper-V couldn’t create a VM on 3rd party network storage.
  • We fixed an issue where for the first few minutes after clean installing a non-English build many inbox app names might unexpectedly appear with English app names.
  • We fixed an issue where gaming apps using WebView with heavy use of HTML canvas might have unexpectedly had very low FPS in recent flights.

Issues:

You will be unable to install *new*/additional language packs on this build. Pre-existing language packs (language packs you’ve installed previously) will carry over and work just fine.
