Wileyfox, a known smartphone vendor that primarily operates in Europe and UK has revealed plans to launch a Windows 10 Mobile smartphone later this year. The smartphone will be targeted at corporate customers and Wileyfox will highlight affordability and security. The company plans to cater to both the needs (Read good pricing and security) of corporate customers with a Windows 10 Mobile smartphones.
When asked about choice of Windows 10 Mobile as operating system over Android, here is what Wileyfox vice-president of sales Andy Lee has to say,

“Increasingly people are screaming for costs to come down and want a good affordable device. If businesses are going to buy thousands of devices to kit out their work force, they need a good price point. That’s where we’re going to hit it out.
So, it sounds like a good plan, but we need to see how well it gets executed. Microsoft has essentially planned to do the same with its upcoming “ultimate mobile device”, which is known as the mythical Surface Phone.
Wileyfox hasn’t yet revealed specifications of its Windows 10 Mobile smartphone and the source article didn’t mention it either. But we can make an educated guess that we are looking at a low to mid-range smartphone. Pricing will be according to the specs and features the smartphone will ultimately pack.
As per the report, Wileyfox can launch this device in August this year. UK and other European markets will be primary target markets.
