While many of the native Windows 10 apps already have support for Dark Theme and Windows 10 Mobile has a system-wide Dark Theme support, for some reason Microsoft didn’t enable it for Desktop version of Windows 10. This is another thing that with a small registry edit (Check our tutorial) you can enable it on your Windows 10 running PC.
Now a new rumor suggests that Windows 10 Redstone 1 aka Anniversary update may bring system-wide Dark Theme to Windows 10 desktop version. While not a must-have feature it may find lots of fans considering Dark Theme also helps in saving battery on certain displays.
It seems Microsoft employees already had this feature on their PCs in-built in the version of Windows they were running at Build. The feature may be enabled with help of a “Toggle” in upcoming builds.
