Hi,
I have a dell Alienware PC with Windows 11 which runs off of a patchy WIFI signal, which I believe has caused a recent windows update to get “jammed.” Any ideas how I can get it updating again?
Just to add, my parents windows 10 PC had the same issue a while ago and I ended up having to clean install windows 10.
Thank you in advance,
Nicky

Windows Update KB5026372 won’t uninstall
I installed latest update KB5026372 on 5/9/23. My internet speed slowed down from 152 Mbps to 76 Kbps. I went through the uninstall process, but before it finished, during the restart it said it is installing updates, and it looks like that update is back. Help! running Win 11 (64 bit)
Windows 11; how to prevent KB5026372 from installing
Hello,
The recent security update KB5026372 for Windows 11 somewhat breaks L2TP connections. By breaks I mean that KB5026372 reduces throughput over the L2TP connection dramatically, making it unusable. This was determined by uninstalling KB5026372, after which the L2TP connection throughput returned to a useable level.
I have paused updates for a week in the hopes that either Microsoft has received other reports about this problem and patches KB5026372 to reflect this or I can figure out a way of blocking this specific update from installing. I’ve tried using the Show and Hide updates tool from Microsoft and it doesn’t work in this instance.
Is there such thing as an update blacklist that I can enable/update via the registry or other method to prevent this update from installing?
Thank you.
Some users have also reported other issues too after installing the update KB5026372 on their Windows 11 PCs.
Update installed fine but I’m experiencing lag, freezing, and stuttering after installing this update. It’s gotten less worse now, but it still there especially when clicking on start menu, search icon, and when exiting windows settings. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Windows Update and then a missing Local Account
Today, according to the Update History, I have updated the following:
2023-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5026372).
Before the update, I used to have an Admin account and a local account.
After the update, I only have the Admin account and the local account is missing.
What happened to my local account and how do I get it back?
Does the update have something to do with it?
