Microsoft is working on a handy new feature for Windows 11 that could let you control your PC remotely from an Android phone.
The upcoming feature would make it possible to perform some basic power and maintenance actions without having to walk over to your computer.

According to reports, Microsoft is preparing a remote-control feature that will connect Windows 11 PCs with Android devices.
Once available, users could reportedly use their phone to:
- Shut down their Windows 11 PC
- Restart the computer
- Put the PC to sleep
- Install Windows updates
That could be particularly useful when your PC is connected to a TV, sitting across the room, or simply somewhere you don’t want to get up and reach.

This isn’t the kind of Windows update that completely changes how you use your PC, but it’s the sort of small convenience feature that can make everyday tasks easier.
