2025-04 Windows Update (KB5055523) simply does not install
2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523) installation shows as “pending restart” but no matter how many times I restart the computer it keeps showing as “pending restart.” Apparently it cannot even be uninstalled (probably because, at face value, installation never completed). How can it be removed? Will it keep restarting the computer automatically outside active hours, even though it will be afterwards in the same pending status again? Will this behavior be mimicked by all (or any) other updates?
Windows KB5055523 keeps failing to fully install at 25%.
my Windows KB5055523 keeps failing to fully install at 25%. It diverts to retry. How can this be fixed to get the install?
I cannot download the 2025-04 Cumulative Update for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8.1 for Windows 11 and 2025-04 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5055523)
The .NET framework fails under error code 0x800705b9 and the 25-4 update never finishes. I have tried the windows update troubleshooter and the repair install ISO aswell.
Some Users are reporting BSOD 1, 2 issues after installation of the Windows 11 24H2 update KB5055523.
Getting BSoD immediately after installing this update and BSoD every time I boot afterwards. Reverting the patch to an earlier restore point fixes the problem.
Constant BSOD when trying to start my laptop. Wife’s having major screen issues with her Surface Laptop 7 too.
Some Users are reporting issues of laptop fan running fast after installation of the Windows 11 24H2 update KB5055523.
Laptop fan running faster after windows KB5055523 update
I have an HP ENVY laptop, with Windows11 version 24H2.The other day I downloaded and installed the latest windows updates (KB5054979, KB5055523, KB5056686).
After this I noticed the laptop fan is louder. Constantly running faster. Even when I’m not running anything.
I uninstalled the updates one at a time, after uninstalling KB5055523, the fan speed is back to normal.
Reinstalled KB5055523 and the fan speed is running loud again. So looks like this update is causing the problem.
I checked the HP support website for latest drivers, it says I don’t need any new software or drivers at this time.
I saw a comment in the microsoft community that if this is causing fan speed problem, can just uninstall the update.
But if this is a critical update, I don’t want to run without it, if possible.
Are there any known issues with update KB5055523 causing fan speed to run faster?
