Microsoft released it’s Surface Pro 3 2in1 back in 2014 but the device is still selling very good in many places of the world. We have recently reported that it was launched in India earlier this week. Now Western Sydney University has announced that they will provide free Surface Pro 3 to new students studying different courses. Students of School of Science and Health, Social Sciences and Psychology, and School of Nursing and Midwifery & few other major courses will get free Surface Pro 3 2in1 device from the University.
The acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Denise Kirkpatrick of the University said that the devices are central to the University & are part of a future strategy. She also said that the University is working with Microsoft & some other companies for better opportunities for students in different courses.She further stated,
“Several years ago Western Sydney University became one of the first universities to provide devices to students as part of its flexible learning program. The 2016 program takes that a step further as the University works with industry leading technology partners such as Microsoft, to determine the most suitable device for each of our courses”
Furthermore “Our students are the leaders of tomorrow and as we prepare them for their future careers, we believe it’s essential that we empower their learning with the necessary support and leading edge technology to maximise learning outcomes and deepen their engagement in learning”
