This may be one of the biggest Surface related news that Microsoft may be planning to break at the Surface Event scheduled on October 2. Surface Laptop 3 will have a 15-inch model and it will be powered an AMD processor most probably Ryzen family of processors.
This is though not the first time that we heard about the possibility of an AMD processor in Surface Laptop 3. An earlier rumor claimed so that an AMD processor named “Picasso” will power a variant of Surface Laptop 3. The Picasso processor was supposed to be a custom-made 12nm processor.
The latest round of rumor comes from WinFuture that claims to have seen entries in distributor databases for Surface Laptop 3 15-inch model with AMD processors. So, while it is not clear which AMD processor is powering the 15-inch Surface Laptop 3 model if the earlier leak has to be taken into account it may be a custom processor made for Microsoft.
