A national level education board of India, CBSE has joined hand with Microsoft to transform the way it conducts examinations. With the partnership, CBSE will enhance their security and seamless paper distribution. To achieve the seamless experience the education board needs to use some software solutions built on Windows and Office 365.

With the help of the software, A CBSE administrator initiates the distribution of the papers and then an email for each examination center will be sent containing the download link. The controller of the examination needs to go through a two-factor authentication in order to access and download the question paper right in the examination center. The entire process has been tested multiple times and both the parties were satisfied with the result. “The solution was successfully tested as a pilot project in the recently held Class X compartmental examinations, across 487 examination centers with approximately 4,000 students”.

“A strong education ecosystem is key to our nation’s development and Microsoft and CBSE are deeply committed to digitally transform the sector. Innovative implementation of technology has the potential to solve some of the most pressing issues faced by the sector. The success of this partnership with CBSE is proof of that potential. I am confident we are well on the way towards a digitally empowered education ecosystem.” – Anil Bhansali, Corporate Vice President, Cloud & Enterprise, Managing Director, Microsoft India (R&D) Private Limited

In the past, CBSE did face a lot of criticism for not being able to conduct some of the prestigious examinations in the country.
