Surface Duo, the foldable Android device from Microsoft will feature a “world-class camera” we heard from Panos Panay, the Microsoft CPO. Now, he has posted the first official imaging sample captured with Surface Duo on Instagram.
The imaging sample looks good given the indoor lighting conditions but it is really difficult to base our opinion on one sample posted on Instagram. Perhaps Microsoft needs to provide full-size images and more samples.
Recent job listings by Microsoft have revealed that Surface Duo may feature a CMOS multi-sensor, 3D, IR camera that may use Computational photography algorithms. Hopefully, Microsoft brings a really powerful camera on its Surface Duo and Neo range of portable mobile devices.
